ROTORUA:
Rotorua - it's like no other place on earth. The absolute power of nature's forces here will amaze you. You'll see thundering geysers and gurgling pools of bubbling mud. Take in the awesome landscape that's a legacy of volcanic eruptions in times past and soak in mineral hot pools, in this natural spa paradise. Geothermal activity provides the source of Rotorua's fame as a spa resort. Relax in pools of naturally heated mineral waters - soothe your soul and experience for yourself why Rotorua has developed its reputation as nature’s spa of the South Pacific.

WHAKAREWAREWA:
Set amidst a landscape of erupting geysers, hot thermal springs and bubbling mud pools, is the living village of Whakarewarewa. Experience the unique lifestyle of our people in a natural, Maori village setting.

WAI-O-TAPU:
A geothermal experience not to be missed!  No where else in the world can you experience the shear beauty and awesome earth power that Wai-O-Tapu has to offer. View towering geysers erupting majestically to huge heights.  Experience the power of violently boiling pools of mud and be amazed at the huge steamy volcanic craters. Colours unimaginable of every tint and hue abound pools, volcanic lakes, and even the paths you walk on, like natures own ever changing artists palette.

HELLS GATE:
Feel the earth's raw power at Rotorua's most active thermal park. New Zealand's only mud bath complex with geothermal mud and therapeutic water.

Hells Gate is Rotorua's fiercest thermal area and largest active mud volcano, New Zealand's largest boiling whirlpool, largest hot water fall in southern hemisphere, naturally hot mineral foot pools, water and steam vent geyser, hot spraying pools and tame birds.

BURIED VILLAGE:
The Buried Village of Te Wairoa is an unforgettable encounter with the thermal region's violent volcanic past. The village of Te Wairoa, buried by the eruption of Mt Tarawera in 1886, is today on display as an archaeological site. The Museum and excavated sites combine with natural beauty and wildlife to make a walk through the Buried Village a unique experience.
